Ne vous fiez pas à leurs gueules d’anges ! Ces quatre musiciens sont de la old school.
Ils sont d’Ile de France. Benjamin Vagnard, batteur et fondateur du groupe, est un inconditionnel de classic rock et hard rock des années 80. Il a transmis le virus à son fils Jérémie, biberonné à Guns N’ Roses depuis sa naissance. Lead guitariste de haute voltige, le junior du Band a perfectionné sa gratte à l’American School of Modern Music. Même topo pour le bassiste Olivier Janier-Dubry, qui n’a d’oreille que pour le hard rock vintage & Motörhead, et le chanteur Rémi Cuesta, fan absolu d’AC/DC et de son icône Bon Scott. 

Depuis 2020, le quatuor écume les bars parisiens et au-delà pour défendre sur scène ses compositions, peaufinées dans son home studio. À partir de riffs inspirés et concoctés par Jérémie, le groupe alterne les nuances de rythme, ponctuées de refrains enivrants et de séquences en son clair. Les mélodies, accrocheuses comme on aime et électrisées par des chœurs entêtants, font battre du pied. Un son à la fois puissant et lancinant qui nous replonge dans l’atmosphère débridée des 80’s. 

Un brin nostalgique de ce qui reste pour eux l’âge d’or du hard rock, les Rebel Angels puisent leur inspiration aux racines du genre et le revendiquent. Leur credo : se faire plaisir avant tout en jouant des morceaux à l’énergie contagieuse. 

Le groupe vient de sortir son 1er  EP “Rip It Off »  avec deux compositions de leur crû et une reprise de Nazareth, ce petit opus donne la mesure de leur passion invétérée pour une époque bénie. Mais le groupe ne compte pas s’arrêter en si bon chemin et cible 2023 pour sortir un album. Des nouvelles compositions « ravageuses » sont déjà en préparation. Elles seront, à n’en pas douter, distillées par le groupe lors de leurs prochains gigs ! 

Bref une overdose de Classic Rock bien puissant attend l’auditeur !

Benjamin Vagnard, drummer and founder of the band, is an unconditional fan of classic rock and hard rock from the 80s. He passed the virus on to his son Jérémie, who has been listening to Guns N' Roses since birth. The junior of the band is a high-flying lead guitarist who perfected his guitar skills at the American School of Modern Music. The same goes for bassist Olivier Janier-Dubry, who only has an ear for vintage hard rock and Motörhead, and singer Rémi Cuesta, an absolute fan of AC/DC and its icon Bon Scott.

Since 2020, the quartet has been playing in Parisian bars and beyond to defend its compositions, polished in its home studio, on stage. From inspired riffs concocted by Jérémie, the band alternates shades of rhythm, punctuated by intoxicating refrains and clear sound sequences. The melodies, as catchy as we like and electrified by heady choruses, make the feet beat faster. 

A sound that is both powerful and haunting that takes us back to the unbridled atmosphere of the 80's. 

A bit nostalgic for what remains for them the golden age of hard rock, the Rebel Angels draw their inspiration from the roots of the genre and claim it. Their credo: to enjoy themselves above all by playing songs with contagious energy. 

The band has just released their 1^st EP "Rip It Off" with two of their own compositions and a cover of Nazareth, this opus gives the measure of their inveterate passion for a blessed era. But the band doesn't intend to stop there and is targeting 2023 to release an album. New 'devastating' compositions are already in the works. They will undoubtedly be distilled by the band during their next gigs! 

In short, an overdose of powerful Classic Rock awaits the listener!
